The McAninch fleet includes more than 400 pieces of Caterpillar equipment
in dozens of categories, from small D4C dozers and 973 endloaders up
to giant D11 pull scrapers and fast-working 385 excavators. When you
need a lot of iron on a fast-schedule job site, count on McAninch to
deliver the optimum number of machines, with a skilled operator in every
seat.
Most equipment deliveries require special permits from the Departments
of Transportation in each state. McAninch employs mobilization specialists
who manage complicated logistics. A D11 bulldozer travels on a 124-foot
trailer with 13 axles—a very impressive sight. Resource allocation
is a McAninch advantage.
McAninch equipment is serviced and repaired in the company’s 40-bay
Maintenance Facility, which also serves as a staging area for long-haul
mobilization. Often, a complement of machines can be delivered to a job
site days or even weeks ahead of the company’s competitors. To
further minimize downtime, a fleet of maintenance trucks provides rapid
service on the job site.
McAninch is heavily committed to GPS guidance and machine control. With
operators taking their cues from GPS monitors, there is less rework,
which saves time and money. In many cases, GPS scrapers can cut and fill
to final elevations, reducing the volume of fine grading work. Now, scroll down the graphics display to get a visual impression
