Shadow Lake Towne Center
Papillion, NE

This 900,000 square-foot retail mall is located at Highway 370 and 72nd Street in Papillion, Nebraska. McAninch Corporation peformed mass excavation, channel relocation, building surcharge and underdrain system. Total area of the site is 130 acres and total volume of excavation is 3,150,000 cubic yards.

Jordan Creek Town Center
West Des Moines, IA

Ground was broken for this 200-acre retail center in September 2002 for the grand opening in August 2004. Developed by General Growth Properties and designed by Shive-Hattery, the two-million-square-foot complex features an enclosed mall and a village of shops around a lake, with restaurants, a hotel, and an amphitheater. McAninch initially mobilized 75 pieces of equipment to move two-million cubic yards. Underground crews installed 230 water and sewer structures and laid more than 65,000 feet of pipe up to 60 inches in diameter.

Altoona Crossing
Altoona, IA

This 35-acre site is home to Target, Lowe’s, Staples, and Wendy’s. Designed by Snyder & Associates for the DESCO Group of St. Louis. The project involved 250,000 cubic yards of earthmoving and 20,000 linear feet of pipe. Much of the work was done under flood lights on a 24-hour schedule.

Wal-Mart Super Center
Oskaloosa, IA

Designed by ARC Design Resources of Rockford, IL, this 25-acre project required 300,000 cubic yards of earthmoving and 14,500 linear feet of pipe installation. McAninch deployed 11 pieces of equipment.

 

Coral Ridge Mall
Coralville, IA

Taylor Ball was the general contractor for developer General Growth for this high-profile retail center serving the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City market and much of eastern Iowa. In addition to moving two-million cubic yards, McAninch crews installed storm and sanitary sewers.
