NE 62nd Avenue Grading Expansion

Project Description:

The work for the NE 62nd Avenue Grading Expansion Project is located on NE 62nd Avenue, on half mile west of NE 54th Street.  The work include approximately 29,150 of Class 10 Excavation, 847 TN granular shoulder, culvert removals, filing and plugging of large diameter culverts.

Interstate I-35 and NE 36th Street Interchange

Project Description:

This project was the construction of a new interchange on Interstate I-35 with NE 36th Street in Ankeny, Iowa. The work was performed during 2012 and consisted of grading and paving to re-align Interstate I-35 and upgrade NE 36th street to FHWA standards for interchange traffic.

New bridges over NE 36th Street were previously constructed under a previous contract, also by McAninch Corporation in 2011. This job contained the work to grade and pave approaches to the new bridges, complete work on a new triple 10’X10’reinforced concrete box culvert, install new median and storm sewer drainage pipe and two new signalized On/Off ramp intersections. McAninch Corporation was subcontracted to Concrete Technologies, Inc. to perform grading and underground utility work.

NE 36th and Delaware Avenue

Project Description:

Reconstruct the intersection of NE 36th and Delaware Avenue.  The development of the intersection of NE 36th and Interstate I-35 spurred residential and commercial development in the northeastern part of Ankeny, Iowa.  The project scope of work was to widen both NE 36th Street and Delaware Avenue and provide for greater vehicular capacity.
The work included removal of the old roadways, upgrading the underground utilities for water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, new paving, new signalized intersection and extensive landscaping.
